As part of the New Dramaturgies series, the Théâtres de la Ville present Smith & Wesson, a play by Italian play wright and director Alessandro Baricco. The story takes place in 1902 when a young journalist in search of a scoop challenges Tom Smith and Jerry Wesson to a crazy dare: dive into a barrel in Niagara Falls and come out alive. This madcap adventure is a reflection on the fears we all have. Both funny and provocative, the play demonstrates once again the talent of its author who is capable, in just a few words of dialogue, of creating extra ordinary theatre. And as the headline act, singer Lio brings all her energy to this unique project.
