The steel and acrylic lacquer sculpture by Luxembourg artists Assy Jans and Yvette Rischette has been installed on Boulevard Royal, on top of the box that protects the fountain behind the Badanstalt. This structure, which insulates the fountain from the cold during the winter months, is used as a base for this temporary installation. The 3.5-metre-high sculpture represents a tree and symbolises the fact that, like the flowers and fruit of a tree, all human beings come from the same roots. Through this work, the artists wish to express their hope that, one day, it will be possible to live together without fear.
