Discover songs from different cultures and eras, and travel the world through the power of sound through a panorama of documentaries that explore musicians and their influences. This is a chance to see – or to try and see – a range of different pop, rock, jazz, and world music artists as you haven’t before: who were the people behind the personas?
From Madonna to Michael Jackson, from Talking Heads to Buena Vista Social Club, these documentaries will shine a light on artists: where they come from, where they went, whom they worked with, and where they are now.
There will also be one evening especially dedicated to footage of female jazz singers from the Schiavo Jazz Rarities archives.
