It’s certainly no stretch to say that artist Laia Abril is tackling a sensitive subject here in the form of institutional rape. Her work brings to light the universal nature of the tragedy that is rape, which is often rooted in the notions of masculinity and sexual violence conveyed by fantasy, power and law. This exhibition helps lift the veil on the issue through various objects, photographs and personal accounts.
