On 12 October, a new crèche was inaugurated on Rue George C. Marshall. The crèche can accommodate 3 groups of up to 12 children under the age of 2, and 3 groups of up to 15 children between the ages of 2 and 4.
The project consists of two spaces that are connected to a curved structure that includes the main entrance and vertical and horizontal passageways linking the various parts of the complex.
The layout of the two structures has been designed to make the most of the available land and its topography.
The shape of the building also allows for maximum natural light. The natural slope of the land means that all 6 groups of children have direct, step-free access to the gardens.
To create a welcoming space, the existing trees have been kept and the front garden is equipped with vegetable planters. The playground has wooden play equipment, a sandpit and a track for the children to ride round in toy cars.
