With the launch of the cycling season in spring, the City has reviewed the current infrastructure, networks and services available for bicycles. Mayor Lydie Polfer and alderman for mobility Patrick Goldschmidt discussed two pilot projects launched by the City as the first municipality in the country. Seven new cycle lanes will be developed at strategic locations in the capital. At the same time, six new intersections will be equipped with flashing orange bicycle lights. Moreover, the two-way cycle lane on Avenue Pasteur should be completed shortly while work on the dedicated one way cycle lane on Boulevard de la Pétrusse is due to begin in a few months’ time.
