Following last season’s success, Ibsen’s masterpiece Hedda Gabler, directed by Marja-Leena Junker, is back on stage at the Théâtres de la Ville. This intensely modern drama reflects on the place of women in society, but also within the family, with the protagonist having a thirst for the absolute that nothing in the world can offer her. Even if on the surface she already has everything, she seems to know that happiness lies elsewhere. This masterful tragedy featuring an outstanding performance by Myriam Muller is a homage to this radical and timeless work. Some 130 years after it was written, it remains a must-see play.
