HOMARD CHÉRI de Tessy Bauer

▸ Cercle Cité ▸ www.cerclecite.lu

Tessy Bauer, a Luxembourg artist living in Brussels, is known for drawing on everyday life, on the objects we use every
day, to underline her creative expression. She relies on sociological or symbolic references, pulverises the object while observing it ironically, and finally removes or adds elements to it to make it an artistic work in its own right. To do this, she uses drawing, sculpture or movement or several of these disciplines combined to develop her subject. What emerges is a reflection on the human attitude towards the ‘banal’ object in question. This time, a cradle combined with a lobster is the focus of Bauer’s work. But you will have to visit the exhibition to find out how the artist linked the two!
