A play selected as part of the Capucins Libre programme, Charge d’âme is based on the novel by Romain Gary. In keeping with the zeitgeist, it asks hard questions about science, the environment and progress. Set in France in 2030, in the midst of an energy crisis, with a scientist developing an ‘advanced fuel’ that could revolutionise the world, the play reflects on human’s place in the world of tomorrow.
