An open-air art installation

Commissioned by the City, the artwork by Lisa Junius is now displayed on the three metal doors of the Cercle Cité, across from the Cité Bibliothèque. The Luxembourg artist wanted to bring about a calm and dreamlike atmosphere with her painting. From Place d’Armes, passers-by can enjoy a continuous image where plants, stars and magical elements flow out of the hands of a woman, who appears to be some kind of goddess intimately connected with nature. The colour blue is of particular importance and meaning for the artist, as it is not only a celebration of the sky and universe, but also represents the imagination and mind.
