Mireille Rahmé-Bley, Nouvelle présidente de l’UCVL.
Tell us a bit about your career path.
I’ve been a shopkeeper since 1992. I first started out working in clothing stores, before joining horeca in 2010. Then, over the years, I opened several cafés and restaurants in Luxembourg City.
Can you tell us about the UCVL?
The UCVL is an official organisation representing around 450 shopkeepers in the capital and works in collaboration with the mayor and aldermen to develop the city’s economic activity.
What is your role?
As chair, I represent the UCVL when dealing with public authorities and the media. My main mission with this board of directors composed of representatives of the different commercial sectors is to define the strategy of our action plan to develop trade and strengthen the capital’s commercial appeal.
