An innovative 30km/h zone

On 11 May the Cessange primary school, with its new extension and expanded playground, was inaugurated. The first 30km/h zone developed on a 100-metre section of state road was unveiled nearby. Established on a temporary basis in 2017, the 30km/h zone is now here to stay. Improvements have been made by the City. In addition to signage on the ground and on panels, colour coating on the road is also visible to highlight the section. The aim? To calm motorised vehicle traffic while ensuring the safety of pedestrians and schoolchildren in particular. Two pedestrian crossings with illuminated traffic lights as well as two central islands ensure the safest possible crossing.
