Gardens in the spotlight

On 4 to 6 June, the Ministry of Culture is kicking off the month-long Rendez-vous aux Jardins initiative. Luxembourg is taking part in the event for the very first time, which sees 2,800 gardens and parks in 20 different European countries open their gates to the public. Public parks will play host to various tours, conferences and concerts around the theme of knowledge sharing. On 6 June, don’t miss the ‘Haupeschbléiser’, hunting horns of Trompes de Chasse St Hubert de Luxembourg, performing a series of itinerant shows. The musical art of horn playing has recently been added to UNESCO’s Representative List of the Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity. The initiative will end on 26 and 27 June, coinciding with the 18th edition of the Oppe Gaardepärtchen open garden festival.
