On 29, 30 and 31 January, natur&ëmwelt asbl will carry out its annual bird census. The bird count makes it possible to estimate population sizes of the most common birds and to monitor changes in their numbers over time. Participants are asked to look for birds in their garden or on their balcony, identify them thanks to a series of photos provided and record the number of birds they see. They can then send in their observations via an online form. Blackbirds, robins, European goldfinches, bullfinches, great tits, spotted woodpeckers, nuthatches, house sparrows, chaffinches and European greenfinches are among the bird species usually sighted in the area.
