Sunday is Cinema Paradiso day: a time for fables, dreams, laughter, myths and legends for the Grand Duchy’s 3 to 11-year-olds.
First off there is a spooky Halloween special with Das kleine Gespenst, followed by Mon Frère chasse les dinosaures, an award winning Italian-Spanish film about a little boy whose baby brother is born with Down’s syndrome. Up next is another Italian production: La Mouette et le chat, a tale of the unlikely family bond between a seagull and a cat, and the German version of Night at the Museum, where a security guard has to contend with his once still inhabitants coming to life.
Finally comedy and music come together for three Laurel and Hardy short films, to be enjoyed with a piano accompaniment: Liberty, Double Whoopee and You’re Darn Tootin’. I. E.
