Zimerman, Beethoven et l’OPL

A liberal interpretation of an unrivalled lyricism: tremendous Polish pianist Krystian Zimerman will be accompanying the voracious talents of the Luxembourg Philharmonic Orchestra as they get carried away by the ‘Beethoven madness’ that is sure to accompany the 250th anniversary of the composer’s birth this year. The perfectionist will be tackling Concertos Nos.1 & 2, still in the classical Viennese form, which the ‘Master of Bonn’ regarded as the archetypes of the genre, with an intoxicating sense of poetry in what is sure to be a most exciting physical and auditory performance that will pit pianist and instrumentalists against one another in a spectacular show of virtuosity and vibrancy.
