Major contemporary dance figure Bruno Beltrão has created an energetic and stylish choreography based on deconstructing the codes of urban dance. Inoah is inspired by the story of the migrant, incorporated into a complex composition that sees a company of ten dancers take to the stage to perform a series of solos, duets and trios rather than as a group. Their highly adept movements reveal the passionate torrents of feeling that drive them as the audience witnesses the sort of constant tension they can’t help but be deeply moved by in this latest display of crazy talent from Bruno Beltrão and his Grupo de Rua, who are based in the Brazilian city of Inoah.
