Luxembourg, flying the UNESCO heritage flag

At the general assembly meeting of the Organization of World Heritage Cities (OWHC) in Krakow, Poland, in early June, Mayor Lydie Polfer was elected to the board of directors for a two-year term.
The OWHC is a network of over 300 cities around the world that are on the UNESCO World Heritage List. One of them is the city of Luxembourg, whose old quarter and fortifications were registered 25 years ago. The
meeting of the organisation’s North-Western Europe and North America regional committees will take place from 24 to 26 September 2020 in Luxembourg City.
