The third part in a work examining emotions within the family unit, Kind (“child”) follows Vader (“father”), directed by Franck Chartier and performed in Luxembourg in 2014, and Moeder (“mother”) by Gabriela Carrizo, shown at the Grand Théâtre in 2017. This third part of the triptych, this time based on the child’s perspective, sees the two directors join forces to share the role of artistic director.

Children play a consistently central role in the productions of Belgian company Peeping Tom, and never more so than in this piece, in which their actions are guided by their perceptions of the world, their fears and their desires. A reversal in perspective that the two choreographers have developed in conjunction with young people from a variety of backgrounds in order to create a fascinating piece that will have its world premiere in Luxembourg.
