Bastille are back in Luxembourg this month as they tour their third and most recent album, Doom Days. The four-piece band from London burst on to the music scene with their debut album Bad Blood back in 2013. Songs like ‘Pompeii’, ‘Things We Lost In The Fire’ and ‘Flaws’ catapulted the band to headline shows and huge festival appearances in short order.
In fact, it was at this time that Bastille headlined the Rock-A-Field festival in Roeser and fans were treated to material from their sophomore album Wild World. Tracks like ‘Grip’ and ‘Hangin’’ hinted at good things to come and so it proved. Wild World was another success, reaching number one in the UK and breaking the top 10 in many countries around the world. It also won Best Album at the NME Awards 2017.
Bastille’s third record, Doom Days, is set to drop later this year and a mammoth tour is sure to follow but, never ones to shirk hard work, the band are using this current tour to rework older hits and road test some of the new material.
With support on the night coming from Scottish singer-songwriter Lewis Capaldi and newcomer Ukrainian Akine, it should be show to remember.
