Art in the spotlight

Luxembourg Art Week and the CAL salon marked the beginning of November for art aficionados.
Celebrating its 125th anniversary, the Cercle Artistique de Luxembourg held its salon in the Tramsschapp cultural centre. Some 40 artists expressed themselves in the most varied of mediums, from painting to photography, from sculpture to drawing. The Pierre Werner Prize, which has a cash value of €2,500, was awarded to Sandra Lieners and Roland Schauls.
For its part, Luxembourg Art Week has seen the galleries in the “Positions” and emerging talents “Take Off” sections take up residence in the Victor Hugo Hall. The event was complemented by a series of conferences, visits to cultural sites and a beautiful party.
