Nicknamed quite rightly “From studio to stage”, Mois des labos consists of a series of public performances by the various workshops of the Rotondes arts centre that are aimed at young people and run with the help of living arts professionals. The 2015-2016 season offered a wide range of people – some workshops were aimed at children aged as young as 6, others invited young refugees to participate, and Labo Pro was aimed at theatre performers and teachers – a choice of workshops of varying durations encompassing theatre and theatre of objects, dance, music, drawing, design, live arts techniques (theatre and circus) as well as the more administrative aspects of show business, not to mention the wonders of backstage…
As of 1 June, members of the public will be able to discover the Scènes à 2.3 project, supervised by Compagnie du Grand Boube & Rotondes; Bühn fräi! presenting Eng Nuecht am supermarché; Figurelabo, which stages weekly theatre performances and the design sessions; the 4th Hip-Hop Marathon; the various groups of the Theaterlabos; the musical workshop for musicians, young bands, DJs and rappers Concert Supernaturel 2; Hello, Goodbye, Come back which tells of friendship using music and words; and Labo Pro, an opportunity to listen to professionals and artists on stage sharing their methods, experiences and talents.
