As part of the spring cleaning programme initiated by the Hygiene department of the City of Luxembourg, members of the Canoë Kayak Club were seen picking up garbage along the Alzette river between Schläifmillen and Pulvermühle. Part of the team operated from the river itself, in canoes, with the others scouring the river bank, on the cycle lane.
Several employees of various departments of the City of Luxembourg also boarded boats to lead by example and encourage others to follow suit next year.
