Congrats, Mr DiCaprio!

 06/04, 18:30  28/04, 20:30  except “Revolutionary Road” at 21:00

There were cheers, and some voices of dissent, when Leonardo DiCaprio finally won a Best Actor Oscar for his role in The Revenant at the end of February.

To mark the award, the Cinémathèque launches a retrospective selection of the actor’s other films, from his teenage years opposite Robert De Niro in This Boy’s Life to more adult roles such as that in Sam Mendes’s domestic drama Revolutionary Road, in which he was paired once again with his Titanic co-star Kate Winslet.

Also on the bill are Baz Luhrmann’s Romeo + Juliet (part of the Shakespeare season) and Sam Raimi’s western black comedy The Quick and the Dead. But perhaps the most interesting films in which to watch DiCaprio at work are Steven Spielberg’s Catch Me If You Can, in which he plays opposite multiple Oscar winner Tom Hanks, and Martin Scorsese’s The Departed, in which he finds himself in the company of another multiple winner, Jack Nicholson.
